By participating in workgroup sessions ensures representation from all entities of real estate to engage in improving the practice that benefits the whole industry.
Each year RESO hosts either a PlugFest and a Show N Tell at the conferences. The Show N Tell competition is where product innovators show off their latest inventions surrounding RESO Standards and compete for your votes. A PlugFest is an event where software developers gather to push the innovation envelope by 1) testing the interoperability of their products, designs or concepts with others and 2) meeting and collaborating to solve common technological issues facing their particular community or industry. Basically, it’s a collaborative, open and friendly environment devoted to facilitating conversations - both digitally and face-to-face.
There is content and sometimes even separate tracks for those focusing on the business or technical side of real estate data. We have "new to RESO" sessions dedicated to new members and new conference attendees to help acclimate you to the RESO culture and process and to understand what areas of RESO will be a benefit locally and provide a high level overview of RESO workgroups and the underlying platforms used to support the standards creation process. There will be many brokers, association executives, technology experts and industry leaders to network with and share ideas that you can take back to your local organization. Open networking among like professionals is one of the greatest benefits of the conference sharing ideas of what does and doesnt work to solve business issues. We will also have representation from all of the MLS Vendors, and its a good opportunity to meet directly with your respective MLS Vendor powering you data feeds face to face. The sessions are full of educational information not only just about RESO, but also spanning many business topics in the Industry.
